Dr. Leever was born in South Haven, Michigan. While he was growing up, he and his family moved to Tampa, Florida, where he attended Woodrow Wilson Junior High school and H.B. Plant Senior High School. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of South Florida, earned his D.D.S. from Emory University School of Dentistry, and completed his residency in orthodontics at the University of Pennsylvania.
In 2000, Dr. Leever became a certified Invisalign provider. Since then, he has treated hundreds of satisfied patients, helping to correct a variety of orthodontic concerns. Dr. Leever has utilized Invisalign as a treatment option during its journey to becoming one of the most effective ways of correcting orthodontic issues.
Dr. Leever is a member of several renown organizations, including the American Dental Association, Georgia Dental Association, Florida Dental Association, West Coast Dental Association, and Hillsborough County Dental Association. He also holds membership in the American Association of Orthodontists, Florida Society of Orthodontics, World Federation of Orthodontists, and Societe Francaise d’Orthopedie Dento-Faciale.
Dr. Leever is also a published author and respected lecturer. He also holds both domestic and international patents for a dental device and technique that improves the accuracy of dental restoration construction, orthodontic tooth movement, and jaw surgery corrections.
